News  Trinidad and Tobago Booth draws large crowds on Consumer Days at ITB 2014

As the more formal three days of ITB came to a close, it ushered in the two consumer days when the German public could visit the show. Thousands descended on the Messe Berlin conference centre as those who will make the final decision on where they should take their next vacation came in to get information on exotic destinations.

Trinidad and Tobago was once again the centre of attraction with Pannist Darryl Reid entertaining the massive crowd with his diverse selection of old time calypsos and modern day soca. Adults and children alike were in amazement as they attempted to determine how such a clear melodic sound could emanate from the instrument. The talented pannist also showed the versatility of the steelpan and enthralled spectators with his renditions of Pharell and Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" and Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough".

At Trinidad and Tobago's information desk there was a steady stream of visitors from not only Germany, but also Croatia, Albania, Poland, Jamaica and proud Trinbagonians residing in Germany who came to get a taste of home.  Visitors to ITB were also transported to Trinidad and Tobago as they took pictures of themselves and stood on the destination's beaches, placed their heads on the bodies of Carnival masqueraders and stood on the banks of the Argyle Waterfall.

All signs point to ITB 2014 being a success with airlines, German tour operators and travel writers expressing great interest in destination Trinidad and Tobago.
