News  Ministry of Tourism Launches the Domestic Tourism Campaign-"It's about ALL of us"

The Ministry of Tourism ,on August 19th, unveiled an exciting new campaign aimed at rejuvenating the local tourism industry. “OUR Tourism” is a multifaceted approach to re-engendering the warmth and welcoming sprit that is synonymous with Trinidad and Tobago hospitality. Through a comprehensive re-marketing strategy, The Ministry of Tourism plans to establish our islands not simply as a destination to see, but one where new experiences await. This initiative tackles the issues at the core of Trinidad and Tobago that affect both how we are perceived by visitors and in turn, how we perceive ourselves. Building on the typically Trinbagonian tendency to meet and treat our guests, this initiative speaks both to the wider society and to the traditional service industries. It seeks to remind every citizen that regardless of where they are, or what they do, they are representatives of Trinidad and Tobago: we are all a part of “OUR tourism”

Minister of Tourism, The Honourable Mr. Stephen Cadiz explained, “Trinidad and Tobago has always welcomed visitors to our shores. We want to remind not just them, but ourselves as well, that we are still the people who go out, bring visitors home and show them the real T&T. That is what we mean by we are “OUR tourism”

In this moment, you are both the state and the citizen; the tour guide and the historian. In this moment, you are the music and the energy of a people and its soul. In this moment, you are the representation of Trinidad and Tobago because YOU ARE Trinidad and Tobago.

This is the truth about tOURism.
It’s about ALL of us.
