Tourism Park "On the Road" for 2009!
In 2004, the first ever National Tourism Park was held for one week in August at the Centre of Excellence, and since its inception, the Park has aimed to provide patrons with tourism-focused, interactive experiences, such as the opportunity to interact with live animals, learn from our nation’s tour guides and view fun and educational videos within a highly entertaining atmosphere.
As the theme suggests, this year we are taking the park on the road to three (3) pre selected local sites in order to encourage persons to visit local sites and attractions and to participate in tours to surrounding these sites to increase the awareness of our national treasures.
Tourism Park would run for a period of three weekends starting from 7th to 23rd August, 2009.
Tourism Park is jointly hosted by the Tourism Development Company of Trinidad and Tobago (TDC) and the Ministry of Tourism
TDC will be hosting free activities educational/recreational, giveaways, entertainment, etc. from Friday to Sunday at the highlighted sites. There are also many fun and exciting activities for children at all the sites, including bouncy castle and face painting!
Tours would be available from Friday to Sunday at the highlighted site as well as surrounding sites and attractions.
