Re-Enactment of the Camboulay Riots. Starting shortly before dawn on Carnival Friday, at the Piccadilly Greens in East Port of Spain, the re-enactment revives the spirit of the riots which took place during 1881 Carnival celebrations.
Then at noon on Carnival Friday traffic comes to a standstill in the capital city as Traditional Carnival Characters, including moko jumbies, baby dolls, bats and cow mas, take over the streets in the annual Festival Parade.
